My Yoga Journey
I came to a deeply transformative yoga journey that soon became my way of life. And so, what began as a physical journey toward well-being, ultimately became an involuntary spiritual and mental experience.
The Beginning
It started 24 years ago when I first encountered yoga. It was through my late mother, who dedicated her life to it while introducing it to me. If you first came to the practice looking for something physical — maybe a way to increase flexibility or decrease stress, find balance in your crazed life — it didn’t take long before yoga revealed itself as more than just another workout. Initially bringing an awakening, a breadcrumb dropped, leading to something you knew in your gut would consume the rest of your life.
The Road to Mastery
I sought a deeper study of yoga and received certification in a specific category such as 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Alpesh Yoga Center in 2015, that was only the beginning—basic training. Never content with complacency and motivated by an unquenchable curiosity, I went on to immerse myself in myriad yoga traditions such as Vinyasa, Hatha, Ashtanga, or Yin, which all added something unique & valuable towards my own practice and philosophy of teaching.
A Heart Full of Excitement
I began to teach and share with others the practice. Since 2016 teaching in the fields of local studios/community centers/online platforms, I held one goal: to open into a greater space and welcome all levels of students. Becoming a yoga teacher and helping to motivate students through classes in postures with intention, mindfulness, breathwork, and meditation, I hope to share many of the life-changing benefits that practicing Yoga has brought into my personal experience.
Philosophy and Practice
I believe that yoga is a holistic practice combining the mental and the physical aspects. It is this philosophy that trickles down to each and every class: to help students push past their own perceived limitations and dare them to be stronger than they think. In yoga, I have seen intricately woven cultures informed by life experiences providing boundless opportunities for growth and self-awareness.
Key Achievements and Milestones
On this journey, some of the significant milestones, I have achieved are as follows:
– Leading workshops
– Partaking in retreats
– Adding value to the yoga community, etc.
These highlights demonstrate my dedication to the practice and my overwhelming desire to deliver results for others.
Next Steps
Moving forward in my practice and as a teacher, I am dedicated to learning about yoga on deeper levels and passing these new discoveries along with those that I have gained so far. The work continues—every day, diligently, and with an open mind. This is what I aim to provide in every class I teach: a way for you to explore and be inspired in your own yoga journey, but more importantly… to remind yourself that balance & strength go beyond the mat… and know it’s something worthwhile finding
